Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) is a perennial semi-shrub or herb in the labiaceae family. Rhizome oblique, woody. Stems up to 60 cm tall, quadrilateral, usually leafless near base. Leaves petiolate, abaxially suborbicular, pilose, leaf blade ovoid or oblong-ovoid, apex obtuse or slightly obtuse, apically bright green, usually with purple halo, pale green below, bracts mostly sessile, inflorescences in corymbose panicles, densely flowered, consisting of spike-like inflorescences.
It can be used as feed additives and raw material of supplements.
