LANOLIN ANHYDROUS is a complex mixture of naturally occurring esters and poly-esters of high molecular weight alcohols and fatty acids. Lanolin is also called wool fat, wool wax or wool grease. As lanolin lacks glycerides, it is classified chemically as a wax rather than a true fat. It is 98% ester minimum, comprising an approximately 50/50 ratio of fatty alcohols and fatty acids.
